Dare I say Ivan Nova's first start since August 21st was...
Super?
Oh I dare. I dare indeed. This was the Ivan Nova from last year's second half, the guy who gave so many people high hopes for him this year. It was the Ivan Nova that's been missing this season, and to see him back, even if it was only for 1 start, was a very encouraging sign. Nova didn't talk like he worked on his mechanics while he was out, but his stuff and command looked great last night. Here's hoping this wasn't just a 1-shot deal, because the Yankees could really use another consistent starter in the rotation and an improved Nova pitching the way he did last night could be a huge boost.
