Frank Francisco Is Kidding, Right?

From the NY Post:

"'I can’t wait to face those chickens,' Mets closer Frank Francisco told The Post when asked about playing the Yankees in this weekend’s Subway Series at Citi Field.  'I want to strike out the side against them. I’ve done it before.'"

"Before Francisco could elaborate on his 'chickens' comment, after the Mets’ 4-3 victory over the Orioles on Wednesday, he buttoned up.

'I think I’ve said too much already,' he said."

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  Typical Mets.  Talking a big game and making completely ridiculous statements about their crosstown rivals who just slapped them around the field for 3 straight games last series and then completely backing off of those tough-talk statements seconds later.

And consider the source.  Frank Francisco?  Who the fuck is Frank Francisco??  Bro, your biggest claim to fame is being the fat guy from the Rangers bullpen who threw a chair into the crowd and broke some chick's nose.  Your 2nd biggest claim to fame is being just consistent enough in your meltdowns that any team who signs you ends up dumping you as soon as your contract is up.

My advice to you, Frankie?  Know your role, shut your mouth, and just try not to shit your drawers this weekend if you even get the chance to close out a game.

Oh, yeah, I remember that. If memory serves, Buck Showalter was the Rangers' manager at the time and they were playing the A's. Only a chicken throws a chair from the bullpen into the stands....
