ALDS Game 1 In Pictures

Friend of the blog (and close personal friend of mine) Gary Corbett was lucky enough to get tickets to Game 1 of the ALDS.  He was also unlucky enough to get stuck in the rain on that Friday night and miss out on seeing CC-Verlander I.  But he was lucky enough that he got to back the following night and see the eventual Yankee win.  I asked Gary to document the experience with his camera and asked if he would be willing to share them on the blog and he was happy to oblige.  Below, check out some shots of Game 1, both nights of it, from someone who was there.

And there's the tarp covering the field from the "isolated storms" that halted Game 1 on Friday night.  I will say that if I was there, and got dumped on by rain, I would have been fucking pissed.  I hate rain.

What is going on here?  Is that that dude's hair?  Is it part of the hat?  If it's the hair, then why the hell did he choose to have that hairstyle?  If it's part of the hat, then why the hell did he choose to ruin a perfectly good Yankee hat?  So many unanswered questions here.

Holy shit!  It IS CC.  How's that for a Game 1 experience?  Bad weather, 2 nights, a win, and a face-to-face with the Yankee ace.

And there it is, people.  The greatest place in the history of American sports.  Yankee Stadium.
