As far as the game notes go for this one, I'm just going to refer everybody back to the live blog of the game from last night. I think it paints a pretty good picture of how everything went down.
As for who got the good checks and who got the bad checks on their postgame report cards, you can find that out after the jump.
F*ck Yeahs:
- Derek Jeter: 2-4, 2B, 2 R, 1 K, 1 LOB. I was giddy, that's right, GIDDY, when I saw Jeter lace 2 line drive hits to right field last night. Maybe he's already starting to break out of his slump.
- Curtis Granderson: 1-4, HR, 1 R, 2 RBI, 2 K, 2 LOB. That's about as Granderson-esque a stat line as you'll see, but the important thing is that the HR was a clutch one and drove in the game-winning runs.
Oh Nos:
- Robinson Cano: 0-4, 3 K, 3 LOB. Yeesh! I can't believe I didn't realize that Robbie fanned 3 times last night. That's ugly.
- Russell Martin: 0-4, 3 K, 2 LOB. Still sitting just above the Mendoza Line (.203), so it's OK.
Next Up:
It's another scheduled off day, which is nice because it will give me a chance to catch up on the week that's been in the Yankosphere and start putting together this week's Linkapalooza. Then it's off to the nation's capital for a 3-gamer with Bryce Harper and the Nationals. That should be a clown series, bro.
