Cervelli & Ramiro Pena Carry The Team (As Usual)

And life in bizarro Yankee world continues...

In case anybody missed it tonight, the Yanks were led by Francisco Cervelli (3-3 w/ 2 runs scored, a 3B, a bunt 1B, and a fantastic falling-into-the-dugout catch), Brett Gardner (1-3, 2 runs scored, 1 BB, 1 SB), and Ramiro Pena (2 RBIs) offensively while A.J. Burnett put together yet another cool, calm, consistent, dominating performance, striking out 8 and allowing 0 ER over 7 1/3 IP, to improve to 4-0 and lower his ERA to 1.99 on the season.

Oh, and Joba closed out his second game in a row.  Yawn.

Jorge who?  Alex what?  Mariano why?  And you can cancel the search party for Teix while you're at it.  The rest of the guys have it on lock right now.

Start spreading the fucking news...

P.S.- The Opening Day 6-9 of the lineup: Jorge, C-Grand, Swish, Gardy.

Tonight's 6-9: Thames, Gardy, Frankie, Pena.  And those 4 only combined for 5 of the team's 8 hits, 2 of the 3 RBIs, and all 4 runs scored tonight.  No big deal.
